A spokeswoman from CMS said the agency would continue to provide insurance coverage for patients who visit Valley Surgical Center. The surgery center is “in substantial compliance” with health and safety regulations, according to the report.
CMS said in February that it would drop the surgery center from Medicare on March 1 following poor inspections in December and January. Owner Steven A. Mortazavi, MD, said Thursday that Valley Surgical patients would see no interruption in services or payments now that deficiencies have been corrected.
