2. Mr. Trump, the Republican candidate, is following his party and vowing to repeal the ACA and eliminate funding to expand Medicaid.
3. In 2017, states that haven’t expanded their coverage will be allowed to waive many of the law’s requirements if the state provides a similar coverage.
4. Mr. Trump’s representative did not comment on the provision. Republican legislators have expressed their opposition to it.
5. The federal funding for Medicaid will decrease to a 90 percent match under the ACA by 2020.
