In-home senior care startup Hometeam to accept Medicaid in NYC: 4 thoughts

In-home senior care startup Hometeam will begin accepting Medicaid for its New York City-based clients.

Here's what you need to know.

1. Hometeam will be the first company to accept both private payers and Medicaid.

2. Approximately 2.6 million adults and children in New York City are on Medicaid. 

3. Before the end of the year Hometeam will have access to 150,000 people currently on Medicaid long term care plans. That number could increase to 500,000 by next year. 

4. Hometeam offers in-home care services.
