One reform would allow medical providers to swipe a patient’s driver’s license to verify information. Another would standardize preauthorization forms for prescription drugs, according to the report.
The reforms are included in Senate Bills 166, 644 and 1216. Medical Association leaders said the bills will improve payments systems, increase patient safety and prevent insurance fraud.
