Here are three points:
1. Daniel Waldmann, Tenet’s senior vice president of public affairs, said other payers will pick up UnitedHealth’s business.
2. Tenet CEO Trevor Fetter said the company has taken necessary measures to make sure it is included in exchange plans’ networks.
3. In the first quarter of 2016, admissions to Tenet’s hospital for patients insured through the exchanges increased more than 27 percent, compared to the same period the year prior.
“It is important for us to do everything to make sure the exchanges are viable and successful, and that consumers perceive value and choice in the exchange,” Mr. Fetter said.
