Practice Management Software Could Create Seamless Non-Clinical Workflow

Practice management software may help physicians replace redundant documentation and streamline non-clinical operations and should be considered as an alternative resource, according to Med City News.

Some fear practice management applications are trying to replace physicians, but it should actually create a more seamless workflow transition between the front and back office in any practice setting. Physicians already have busy schedules, and these software applications can spare them additional paperwork and hours managing patient records.

Practice management software can be used by physicians or a hired resource, but it will not replace the individuals, just outdated workflow methodologies, according to a Michigan-based health IT consultant.
