Payer takes price transparency mobile with smartphone app

United Healthcare has brought an element of price transparency to its Health4Me smartphone app, according to a report by The Post and Courier.

The app, free for United Healthcare customers, allows patients to compare provider prices, as well as pay medical bills. The app is available for iPhone and Android devices, according to the report.
