The plan includes legislation SB 900 that would create a state-run website for average procedure prices at hospitals in the state. Secondly, the initiative would work with the Oregon Health Leadership Council to help patients with insurance understand out-of-pocket expenses. Lastly, the plan asks for the state’s hospitals and health systems to provide out-of-network and uninsured patients a price estimate for scheduled procedures prior to the date of service.
