$300 billion. The amount American wages could increase by year with a noncompete provision, the Federal Trade Commission estimates, according to U.S. News & World Report. 

37% to 45%. The percentage of physicians affected by noncompete clauses, according to a report from the American Medical Association. 

6. The number of states where noncompetes are banned

About 87%. The percentage of physicians that support the Federal Trade Commission’s proposed rule that would ban employers from imposing noncompetes, according to a March poll conducted by Doximity of 4,853 practicing physicians.
