The APG methodology will be used for payment of most Medicaid outpatient services.

The delay resulted from a request by CMS for additional information on the state’s proposed payment change. Approval of the change is anticipated soon, according to the report.

Implementation of the APGs are part of the DOH’s larger, multi-year plan to transition funds from inpatient to outpatient services.
