Montana could lose $4.8B under AHCA — 3 key notes

Manatt Health believes Montana’s Medicaid program could lose $4.8 billion in federal funding by 2026 if the American Health Care Act becomes law.

1. The loss could cause more than 70,000 adults to lose their coverage by 2026 as well.

2. The AHCA would reduce Montana’s Medicaid problem by a third. To make up a portion of the losses, Montana’s government may have to reduce funding to other programs.
