Missouri House Health Insurance Committee considers mandating early disclosure of health plan prices

The Missouri House Health Insurance Committee is considering a bill that would make health insurance plan prices available at least a month prior to open enrollment, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

The measure was introduced by Representative Justin Hill (R). The legislation is designed to promote greater transparency in health plan pricing and allow consumers more time to make an informed financial decision.

A vote on the bill could happen as early as next week, according to the report.
