Mednax acquires medical billing company for $400M: 4 notes

Mednax is acquiring The Woodlands, Texas-based Cardon Outreach for $400 million, according to a Sun Sentinel report.

Here are four notes:

1. Cardon Outreach provides medical billing and related services for more than 800 healthcare facilities.  

2. Mednax will complete the acquisition through Mednax’s subsidiary MedData.

3. MedData and Cardon Outreach would keep its separate brands and locations.

4. Together, MedData and Cardon Outreach have nearly 2,000 employees.
