Medicaid Saved From Cuts in Obama’s Upcoming Budget

When President Barack Obama’s budget proposal is released next Wednesday, Medicaid will not be among the many line items to shrink since last year, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Major cuts to the program would be politically embarrassing as the president’s administration works to persuade skeptical governors to expand Medicaid with assurances the promised federal contribution to the extra costs would not disappear.
