MAC to Conduct ICD-10 Testing This Week

This week, Medicare Administrative Contractor is conducting some ICD-10 testing with healthcare providers, according to a Government Health IT report.

The Common Electronic Data Interchange is collaborating on the effort and explains what providers need to do and what they can expect.

•    Test claims will receive either confirmation of acceptance or rejection only
•    Testing will not confirm claim payment or share remittance advice
•    ICD-10 test claims must be submitted with current dates of service
•    Test files must be 25 claims or less per test file
•    Large numbers of claims should not be sent all at once
