Illinois Bone & Joint Institute partners with OBERD to track outcomes — 4 key notes

Chicago-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute partnered with Universal Research Solutions, aka OBERD, to collect and report outcome data to CMS as part of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The institute will gain access to OBERD’s data sets to support evidence-based care and improve outcomes.

2. OBERD’s system collects and makes large amounts of data available to physicians and administrators. The institute will be able to use this data to provide more “collaborative, comprehensive care.”

3. OBERD Founder and CEO Ali Hussam, PhD, said in a release, “We are honored to have partnered with [the institute], one of the most prestigious and progressive orthopedic institutions in the nation. Together with SRS Health, we will help [the institute] demonstrate the value of their care, and show the performance of their physicians, from the outcomes data collected from their patients.”

4. The institute partnered with OBERD to gain access to the outcomes data, and improve clinical intervention strategies.
