Experts said the agency knew practices would struggle to meet both ICD-10 and Stage 2 standards by October, while also juggling the HIPAA Omnibus Rule and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Stage 2’s delay means there is very little chance ICD-10 will be further delayed.
