4. “Most of what has to be done needs to be done at the legislative level,” said Kevin Kane, organization director for Citizen Action of Wisconsin. “The state needs to accept the federal funds for BadgerCare. Eau Claire has had a referendum on the last election and the public overwhelmingly voted for it but it hasn’t yet happened. The best thing we can do here in Eau Claire as individuals is to make sure everyone is covered.”
