1. The bill would exempt surgery centers that are a “fundamental supporting component of a comprehensive sports medicine complex,” from needing CON approval.

2. The bill would benefit Alpharetta, Ga.-based Legacy Sports Institute, a practice ran by James Andrews, MD.

3. The bill was referred to the House Special Committee on Access to Quality Health Care.
