Consumers won't have HealthCare.gov physician, prescription medication 'look up' tools for enrollment: 5 key points

Two HealthCare.gov features will not be ready for use by Nov.1, according to the Miami Herald.

Here are five key points:

1. Enrollment begins on Nov. 1, 2015 for 2016.

2. The HeatlhCare.gov feature that allows consumers to browse through physicians and hospitals based on included health plans will not be available for use when enrollment starts.

3. The site's feature that allows consumers to see which health plans cover certain prescription medications will also not be ready for use at the time of enrollment.

4. The Department of Health and Human Services does not guarantee these two features will be working for the duration of this season's enrollment.

5. The features are not ready due to a lack of information from health insurers. HHS doesn't want to unveil the features with partial information and resources.
