3. Additionally, the organizations asked the Connecticut Insurance Department to commission a study to analyze the merger’s impact on insurance cost, insurance access and the state economy.
4. The Universal Health Care Foundation expressed concerns about a dominant payer limiting provider choice and increasing premiums and out-of-pocket costs.
5. The Connecticut Insurance Department commented groups may apply to cross-examine the companies once they establish a hearing date.
