Colorado price transparency website to add ASC costs

The Colorado price transparency website CO Medical Price Compare plans to add prices for the states ambulatory surgery centers by the end of the year, according to a Rocky Mountain News PBS report.

The site was initially launched with hospital price comparisons for knee replacement, total hip replacement, uncomplicated vaginal birth and cesarean birth. Along with ASC prices, nine additional services will be added by the end of the year.

Next year, the site plans to add more facility types and prices for 25 additional services.
