Here are four things to know:
1. In February, CMS proposed a 1.35 percent increase in reimbursement for MA plans.
2. In 2016, CMS gave MA plans a 1.25 percent raise.
3. CMS said individual plans may obtain higher reimbursement through bonuses for enhancing the quality of care beneficiaries receive.
4. Deputy CMS Administrator Sean Cavanaugh said MA plans have become stronger and more popular since the ACA was implemented in 2010. Since 2010, MA enrollment has increased 50 percent and premiums fell 10 percent from 2010 to 2016.
