The tool — called the eHealth Interactive Payment Adjustment Tool — asks providers a series of “yes” or “no” questions. On the basis of the providers’ responses, it will determine whether the provider will owe the penalty, avoid the penalty or maybe even qualify for a bonus, according to the report.
