CMS Issues July 2011 Update of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Payment System

CMS has issued its July 2011 update of the ambulatory surgical center payment system.

Highlights of the update include six new HCPCS codes added to the ASC list of covered surgical procedures and nine new HCPCS codes (drugs and biologicals) added to the ASC list of covered ancillary services, all taking effect July 1.

 

The update also includes updated payment rates for dozens of HCPCS codes.
