According to the governor’s release, the Affordable Care Act unintentionally decreased the number of policies for children. A special enrollment period started on Jan. 9 and will run through Feb. 29. The usual enrollment for the new policy will likely run from June 1 until July 31 annually.
In response to the governor’s signing, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has created a child-only healthcare policy that will go into effect Jan. 15.
