Cassi Birnbaum elected president of American Health Information Management Association board

Cassi Birnbaum, currently the senior vice president of Nashville-based Peak Health Solutions, has been elected president of the American Health Information Management Association board, according to a report from the Tennessean.

Ms. Birnbaum, who specializes primarily in remote coding and auditing, will serve in this capacity for the 2015 calendar year with the Chicago-based AHIMA.

Ms. Birnbaum has 35 years of experience in the health information management field as a director, executive director, vice president and CEO.

Peak, a medical coding company financed by EDG Partners and Health Evolution Partners, works with various health plans and healthcare facilities with remote offices in San Diego and Atlanta.
