As price becomes a hotter topic for patients across the country, another ambulatory surgical center in yet another state has been added to the growing list of those implementing an instant quote for services system.
According to officials at St. George Surgical Center, a physician-owned ASC located in St. George, Utah, of the roughly 6,000 centers across the United States, theirs is among about a half-dozen making these kinds of quotes available to the public.
The center began offering the option for patients to see prices of services rendered about six months ago. The quote system currently provides the pricing for more than 70 procedures; but, center officials said they imagine 30 more will be added in the coming months.
The quotes include one preoperative and one postoperative visit, surgeon, center and anesthesiologist fees.
