Anthem, Cigna join Obama administration advisory group on the movement to value-based payment

The Obama administration has created an advisory group of payers, private companies and healthcare organizations to aid in Medicare’s transition to value-based payment, according to a Bloomberg Business report.

Members the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network include Anthem, Cigna, the American Cancer Society and Caesars Entertainment, according to the report.

The members of the advisory group will offer insight into compensating providers for value over quantity.
