Here’s what you should know.
1. Aetna is attempting to acquire Humana. The DoJ challenged the merger on the grounds Aetna would become a monopoly and severely challenge competition.

2. The trial was two-and-a-half weeks. Aetna’s counsel ended the trial by saying the DoJ did not prove the deal would violate any antitrust laws.
3. The attorneys can make final arguments in front of a judge on Dec. 30, 2016.
