Accretive Health Replaces Founder, Names Stephen Schuckenbrock CEO

Chicago-based hospital collection firm Accretive Health named Stephen Schuckenbrock as its new CEO, replacing longtime chief executive Mary Tolan, according to the Star Tribune.

Mr. Schuckenbrock is the former president of Dell Services. Ms. Tolan, the company’s founder, will now serve as chairman of the board and work with current customers, as well as seek new clients, according to the report.

The move comes amidst trouble for the revenue management firm. Among other issues, Accretive Health said it booked revenue for certain contracts incorrectly for nine quarters and will restate financial reports back to 2010.
