A third of Americans believe ACA, Obamacare different policies: 4 key notes

A poll from Morning Consult claims a third of all Americans believe the ACA and Obamacare are different policies, The New York Times reports.

The poll featured 1,890 total respondents.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Seventeen percent believed the ACA and Obamacare were different policies, and 18 percent didn’t know if they were the same or different.

2. Respondents between 18- and 29-years-old and people who earn less than $50,000 were the two groups expressing such confusion.

3. Seventy-two percent of Republicans said they knew Obamacare and the ACA were the same.

4. When Morning Consult asked the public “what would happen if Obamacare was repealed?,” Confusion rocketed. Forty-five percent of people did not know the ACA would also be repealed, 12 percent said the ACA would be unaffected and 32 percent said they didn’t know what would happen.
