65% Providers to Hire Outside Firms for ICD-10 Switch

About two-thirds of medical providers plan to use third-party firms to help them transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 before the Oct. 1, 2014 implementation deadline, according to Healthcare Finance News.

KLAS released a report, "ICD Consulting: Roadmap to a Successful Transition," and also found that San Francisco-based Deloitte and Washington, D.C.-based The Advisory Board are among top firms chosen for coding assistance.
