According to a Commonwealth Fund survey, approximately 4 million Americans have lost health insurance during the last two years as a result of actions from President Donald Trump's administration, The Hill reports.
The Commonwealth Fund surveyed 2,403 adults between 19 years and 64 years of age.
Here's what you should know.
1. Uninsured numbers are once again on the rise, after approximately 4 million Americans lost insurance over the last two years.
2. Uninsured rates are significantly higher in 2018 among adults with an income of $30,000 or in families with an income of $61,000.
3. Uninsured rates are also higher among Republicans, rising from 7.9 percent in 2016 to 13.9 percent in 2018.
4. The uninsured rate among Democrats remained at 9.1 percent for both survey periods.
5. The Commonwealth Fund attributed the loss to a lack of initiative in addressing the weaknesses of the ACA and the specific actions of the current administration.
6. Despite the decreases in the ACA marketing budget, 11.8 million enrolled into an ACA plan for 2018.
