The level of education earned affects salary in many different fields. Here are four statistics on the level of education earned in the medical coding field, according to the AAPC 2013 Salary Survey.

•    No college: 22.9 percent
•    Some college/associate degree: 54.6 percent
•    Bachelor’s degree: 18 percent
•    Master’s degree and above: 4.5 percent
