Here are three tips for ways to train now.
1. Review. Coders can review sections from the ICD-10-CM official guidelines and quiz themselves intermittently to begin solidifying the new information in their minds.
2. Attend webinars. Many webinars and online training sessions will take place before Oct. 1, 2014. Find a live webinar so you can ask questions to the presenting expert.
3. Gamify. Use sites, such as FindACode.com, to turn ICD-10 training into a game and increase your chances of remembering the codes. Another option is to make training competitive among coders.
