10 states with the lowest uninsured rates

Massachusetts has the lowest uninsured rate of any U.S. state, according to a ranking by WalletHub.

WalletHub compared the overall insurance rates in all 50 states in 2018 using U.S. Census Bureau data.

Ten states with the lowest uninsured rates:

1. Massachusetts: 2.77 percent
2. Vermont: 4.03 percent
3. Hawaii: 4.08 percent
4. Rhode Island: 4.08 percent
5. Minnesota: 4.4 percent
6. Iowa: 4.72 percent
7. Connecticut: 5.3 percent
8. New York: 5.39 percent
9. Michigan: 5.41 percent
10. Wisconsin: 5.46 percent
