Western Maryland Surgicenter earns Joint Commission’s gold seal

Cumberland-based Western Maryland Surgicenter earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation again, the Cumberland Times-News reports.

Howard Strauss, DDS, uses the center as his primary office. Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the center’s compliance with a set of quality-based requirements.

The accreditation recognizes the center’s commitment to quality care. The center and Dr. Strauss first earned Joint Commission accreditation in 1998.
