The Joint Commission’s ambulatory care standards manual makes ‘most valuable’ list — 5 insights

Three titles from The Joint Commission were featured on the 2018 Doody’s Core Titles list, according to Joint Commission Resources Global Publishing Executive Director Catherine Chopp Hinckley, PhD.

1. Doody’s Core Titles list is a selection of resources deemed essential or ‘most valuable’ by expert reviewers in each health sciences discipline

2. Joint Commission Resources is The Joint Commission’s official publisher.

3. The three JCR titles included in the 2018 Doody’s Core Titles list are the third edition of The APIC/JCR Infection Prevention and Control Workbook; the 2018 Standards for Ambulatory Care manual and the 2018 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Nursing Care Centers.

4. JCR has contributed book titles to Doody’s Book Reviews, a database of health sciences books and software, since 1995. The organization has submitted 236 of its titles for inclusion in Doody’s Review Service, and 81 have had published reviews.

5. The majority of the JCR titles reviewed have received at least four out of five stars, according to Dr. Hinckley.
