RiverMend Health Center of Atlanta earns Joint Commission’s Gold Seal: 4 things to know

RiverMend Health Center of Atlanta earned a Gold Seal of Approval for its behavioral healthcare program from the Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based The Joint Commission.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The clinic treats patients with substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders.

2. The clinic offers its patients several services including: medication assisted treatment for withdrawal management, partial hospitalization services, intensive outpatient services and many more.

3. Medical Director of the clinical Dr. Stacy Seikel said the certification was an honor and is reflective of the combined efforts of the entire care team.

4. Dr. Seikel is board certified in addiction medicine and anesthesiology. She is recipient of an award from the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence for her service.
