ASC Accreditation, Licensure & Medicare Certification

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities certified Ketamine Clinic of Los Angeles to function as a surgical center.

During 2017 surveys, ASCs had trouble with the same standards they've struggled with in previous years, according to Donna Tiberi-Blaszczyk, RN, BS, MHA, who serves on the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program's standards interpretation staff.

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited the University of South Florida's Health Endoscopy and Surgery Center in Tampa. 

P. Jeffrey Brady, MD, was named co-chair of The National Steering Committee for Patient Safety, a group created to advance efforts to eliminate patient harm.

The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program's 2018 Quality Review revealed ASCs were commonly cited for deficiencies in patient care and safety during 2017 surveys. 

The Ultrasound Practice Accreditation Council of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine accredited the ultrasound practices at Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine's outpatient clinic.

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care reaccredited Fairfax-based Pediatric Specialists of Virginia's pediatric ASC for another three years.

The Joint Commission is distributing its ambulatory care program customer survey to gain insight into its ambulatory center customers' experiences. 

The Medical Board of California approved the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program as an accreditation agency for ASCs in the state.
