The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care recently accredited the Owensboro Health’s Ambulatory Surgery Center of Muhlenberg, Ky.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. The ASC is part of the Owensboro Health System.

2. The center specializes in neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, medical oncology, urology and general surgery.

3. The center had to meet several criteria evaluating its preparation and care of patients. Some of the criteria include whether physicians are up to date on their licensure and the tracking of clinical outcomes.
