The state is now required to post other information, including where a physician received his or her medical degree and whether he or she is board certified. The public will also be able to view whether a physician was subject to discipline across state lines, among other safety-related information, but will not be able to view physicians’ malpractice histories.
The new law also speeds up the hearing process of potentially dangerous physicians.
