The accountability measures include these categories:

• Heart attack
• Heart failure
• Pneumonia care
• Surgical care
• Children’s asthma
• Inpatient psychiatric services
• Venous thromboembolism care
• Stroke care
• Perinatal care
• Immunization
• Tobacco treatment
• Substance use

The Joint Commission is an accrediting organization for more than 20,500 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States.
