The program lasts for a year and starts in December. Experts have developed 20-minute webinars for staff on managing conditions that require antibiotics and how to discuss antibiotics with patients. Participants can call in once a month to ask questions.
The agency recommends that practices select an administrative and clinician leader to lead program discussions. Those leaders will be required to submit antibiotic prescription data to the agency.
