Dr. Erin Dupree Appointed CMO, VP of Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare

Erin S. Dupree, MD, has been appointed CMO and vice president of the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare.

Dr. DuPree has left a post as CMO and senior vice president for medical affairs at The Mount Sinai Medial Center in New York City. She has previously worked with The Joint Commission as a physician leader in the Center for Transforming Healthcare’s project to reduce wrong-site surgery, according to a news release.

The Center for Transforming Healthcare has projects in hand-hygiene compliance, reducing miscommunication among providers, reducing surgical-site infections, improving patient safety culture, preventing falls, using insulin safely, preventing avoidable heart failure hospitalizations and reducing sepsis mortality, according to the news release.
