Delaware Proposes Revisions to Regulations Governing Freestanding Surgical Centers

Delaware’s Division of Public Health has published proposed revisions to the regulations governing the state’s freestanding surgical centers, according to a Dover Post report and the public notice of the proposed revisions.

The purpose of the amendments is to update the requirements so they are in concert with current healthcare standards and to align them more closely with current federal requirements.

 

Due to the extensive number of amendments, the Division of Public Health has repealed and replaced the current regulations in their entirety with the proposed regulations.

 

Comments on the proposed revisions must be submitted by Jan. 30.
