CMS Finds Methodist Dallas in Full Compliance With Medicare Rules

Methodist Dallas Medical Center has announced it has received notification from CMS that the organization has been found be in full compliance with all Medicare conditions of participation, according to a hospital news release, and is therefore no longer facing the potential loss of its Medicare status.

The hospital found its Medicare status in immediate jeopardy following an unannounced inspection by state regulators in August who discovered safety violations, according to earlier reports. Methodist Dallas needed to implement a corrective plan to address the violations.

The Texas Department of State Health Services conducted a follow-up survey at Methodist Dallas, which concluded Nov. 8, that found the hospital to be in full compliance with Medicare rules as a result of the hospital’s comprehensive action plan.

 

Methodist Dallas has also received notification from The Joint Commission, its accrediting organization, granting Methodist Dallas full accreditation for continued Medicare certification following an unannounced survey conducted by the accreditor in September.
