AAAHC awards Jefferson Surgery Center – Blue Bell three-year accreditation: 3 details to know

NueHealth’s Jefferson Surgery Center – Blue Bell (Pa.) received three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, as well as Medicare deemed status.

The key details to know:

1. Jefferson Surgery Center – Blue Bell requested accreditation in December 2018.

2. The center was established in 2008 in partnership with 14 physicians, the Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute and Jefferson Health.

3. “It was hard, but it was definitely worthwhile —- and even fun,” said Vicky Connor, director of clinical operations and project director for NueHealth. “We had knowledgeable staff who were prepared and worked with a sense of camaraderie. To be able to take on something you know is going to be difficult but approach it with high quality and efficiency, that’s exactly how the Surgery Center itself runs.”
