2 ASCs earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval

Two of the Baltimore-based University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s ASCs earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, according to the Kent County News.

The key details to know:

1. The recognition also applies to the health system’s three hospitals, two home care agencies, as well as inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs.

2. UM Shore Regional Health underwent an unannounced on-site survey in November.

3. Ken Kozel, UM Shore Regional health president and CEO said, “Team members from our three hospitals and many outpatient facilities throughout the five-county region we serve work together to adopt and implement best-practice approaches that will improve care for our patients and enhance the health of our communities.”
